Are you able to produce an ARM version of the Mathpad Service app please as Apple is starting to warn that Intel support via Rosetta 2 will end soon?

Ran into the same "problem", but was able to fix it myself. It's easy, believe me Everything is extremely tidy and clearly organized. Exemplary.

• go to https://github.com/Summa-Cogni/Mathpad, download the ZIP file with the source code
• extract it and go to software/mac/mathpad-service
• check for current SDK version on your Mac:

  Code: Select all

  ls /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/

  on my system there's a MacOSX26.5.sdk, so "26.5" would be the thing to look for
• edit build.sh and replace the SDK version (might be "11.something") with the one you've just determined, e.g.

  Code: Select all

  -sdk /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX26.5.sdk

• build by executing

  Code: Select all

  ./build.sh

Then in dist/ you'll find a brand new Install.app. That's all. If compiled on an Arm system with M[1..5] processor, you'll get an arm64 binary... and that warning message will disappear.

Would you please test the attached version of Mathpad Service and report back the results? Unzip it before executing it.

Thanks for the new version - it installed okay, overwriting the previous version, and the Mac recognises it as no longer having any Intel code.

I did get a mix of normal and LaTeX for a couple of keys to start with but cycling the LED key back round to "white" fixed that - just a power-on glitch I guess.

While we're here: the installer is a bit odd in that when you click the "Install" button the cursor goes to the "spinning beach ball" and the next dialog doesn't show. You have to click on the MathPad icon in the Dock and then that seems to nudge it on to the next dialog.

It doesn't seem to affect the install other than an unaware user might sit waiting for something to happen for a few minutes.
